Share of voice is the only PR metric we still report

Why we stopped reporting advertising value equivalent, and what we measure instead.

Three professionals shaking hands across a table in a meeting room

Advertising value equivalent inflates with volume and tells you nothing about whether anyone changed their mind. We stopped reporting it years ago. Here is what replaced it.

Share of voice against a named set

Pick four competitors. Count how often each is mentioned in the outlets your buyers read. Track the ratio monthly. It is simple, and it moves when the work is working.

Message pull-through

Did the journalist use your framing or theirs? We score every tier-one piece on whether it carried at least one of the three messages in the message house.

Inbound attribution

Where your CRM can see it, we track the enquiries that cite a piece of coverage. It is never the whole picture, but it is always the part the board asks about.
