Eight hours at a screen leaves the same marks on almost everybody: a tight chest, a stiff neck and hips that have forgotten how to open. These five stretches take six minutes and need nothing but a chair.
Start at the top
Drop your right ear towards your right shoulder and stay for five slow breaths. Do not pull. The weight of your own head is enough. Repeat on the left.
Open the front
Interlace your fingers behind the chair back, lift your chest and breathe into the space you just made. Thirty seconds is plenty.
Then the hips
Cross your right ankle over your left knee and fold gently forward. This is the one most people skip and the one most people need.
