A video consultation can feel strange the first time, especially for someone who has only ever seen a doctor in person. A little preparation makes the appointment calmer and far more useful.
Before the call
Pick a quiet, well-lit room and test the camera the day before, not five minutes ahead. Put the medication boxes on the table — doctors would rather read the box than a note. Write down the three questions that matter most; consultations run to time, and the first question is usually the one that gets answered properly.
During the call
Your coordinator joins the call, takes notes and makes sure nothing is missed. If your relative prefers to speak another language, say so at booking and we arrange an interpreter.
Afterwards
You receive a written summary the same evening, including any prescription changes and the date of the next review.
