Questions

Before you
walk in

Do I need any experience to start?

None at all. Most of our members started as complete beginners. Fundamentals classes teach stance, movement and basic technique before any contact.

Will I have to spar?

Only if you want to. Sparring is optional and limited to dedicated sessions. Coaches will clear you once you're ready.

What should I bring to my first class?

Athletic clothing, a water bottle and a towel. We'll lend you gloves and shin guards for your trial. For BJJ, a rash guard and shorts are fine.

Is there a minimum age?

Adult programs are for ages 16 and over. Members aged 16–17 need a parent or guardian to sign the waiver.

Can I freeze my membership?

Yes. You can pause for up to three months per year for travel, injury or any other reason, free of charge.
