Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu teaches a smaller, technical person to control and submit a bigger, stronger opponent using leverage, position and timing. It is the ground game every modern mixed martial artist relies on.
Gi and No-Gi
We run both. Gi classes use the kimono for grips and teach patience and precision; No-Gi is faster and closer to what you will see in MMA. Most members train both.
What a class looks like
A warm-up built around movement on the mat, a technique sequence, positional sparring from a specific position and, for those who want it, a few rounds of live rolling at the end.
Belts and progress
We follow the IBJJF belt system with stripes awarded at monthly check-ins, so you always know what to work on next.
