About this theme
Inside Travel Booking WordPress Theme
SWP Travel Booking is a travel booking WordPress theme built for the people who actually sell trips: tour operators, journey planners and small booking houses that need a catalogue, a destination structure and an enquiry flow that works on the first day. Every page you need is already in the box – a homepage assembled from thirteen reorderable sections, a paginated journey catalogue, curated stays, destination archives that build themselves, and a booking enquiry form wired to Contact Form 7.
Install it, run the one-click demo import, and you have a complete travel website in about two minutes. Then change everything from the WordPress Customizer without opening a single file.
Everything a tour operator needs to sell a trip
The theme ships three purpose-built content types so your catalogue behaves like a catalogue, not a pile of blog posts.
- Journeys – guided departures with price, duration, region, group size, departure window, trip highlights and an itemised “what’s included” list. Feature any journey on the homepage with one checkbox.
- Stays – curated rooms with nightly price, location, room count and amenities, each one linked to the routes it sits on.
- Reviews – traveller quotes with a star rating and the departure the traveller actually booked, feeding a carousel you control from the Customizer.
Destinations are a shared taxonomy across journeys and stays, so every destination page answers “what can I book here?” on its own – and the journey count on each tile is always accurate, because WordPress counts it for you.
A homepage you assemble, not a demo you fight
Thirteen sections – hero, booking search bar, intro counter, featured journeys, destinations, plan-with-a-planner, why-choose-us, most-booked stays, how-booking-works, traveller reviews, seasonal offer, journal and newsletter. Reorder them by dragging. Hide any of them with one switch. Every heading, image, button and link is a Customizer field.
Better still, each page keeps its own copy of a section’s content. The reviews carousel on your homepage and the one on your About page are edited independently, so you are never forced to repeat yourself.
Built for speed, not for a benchmark screenshot
Most travel themes arrive carrying an icon font, jQuery, a slider library and a page builder. This one ships one stylesheet and one JavaScript file – no icon font, no jQuery dependency, no slider library. Icons are inline SVG that inherit your colours. The carousels are a few dozen lines of vanilla JavaScript with swipe, autoplay and hover-pause.
Contact Form 7 assets load only on pages that render a form. Google Fonts are requested only for the two families you actually selected. Card, tile and hero images are cropped to the sizes the layout uses, so browsers never download a 1920px hero for a 300px card. Reduced-motion preferences switch off reveals, autoplay and smooth scrolling.
A travel agency WordPress theme your client can actually run
The Customizer carries 13 panels and roughly 480 controls, organised the way a site owner thinks: Design for the full colour palette, fonts and type scale; Header for the logo, sticky behaviour, phone and CTA; Footer for columns, socials and copyright; then one panel per page. Colours flow through CSS variables – change the accent once and every button, icon, link and border follows.
There is a page banner system with per-page image and overlay overrides, an optional promotional popup with trigger, delay, frequency and device controls, and a Help Centre FAQ accordion that also works as a booking-questions block on any other page.
Complete demo, imported once
The demo importer recreates the entire site: pages, journal posts, journeys, stays, reviews, destinations, menus, widgets, images, both Contact Form 7 forms and every Customizer setting. It is idempotent, so re-running it repairs an incomplete import rather than duplicating your content – and every internal link is resolved from the pages it creates, so you never inherit a dead ‘#’.
If you are looking for a travel booking WordPress theme that is finished rather than merely demonstrated, this is it.

Questions about Travel Booking WordPress Theme
Is this travel booking WordPress theme suitable for a small tour operator?
Yes - it is built for exactly that. Journeys, stays and destinations are separate content types, so a two-person operator can run a real catalogue without a page builder or a developer.
Does the theme take payments?
No. It runs a booking enquiry flow: the traveller sends dates, budget and party size, and a planner replies with a route and a price. That is how guided-travel operators actually sell. Add WooCommerce if you need checkout.
Which plugins are required?
Two, both free: Kirki for the Customizer panels and Contact Form 7 for the enquiry and newsletter forms. The setup wizard installs both.
Will the demo import overwrite my content?
No. The importer only adds, and it matches existing content by slug, so re-running it repairs an incomplete import instead of duplicating anything.
Is it fast?
It ships one stylesheet and one script, with no icon font, no jQuery and no slider library. Form assets load only where a form appears, and images are cropped to the sizes the layout actually uses.
Can I change the colours and fonts?
All of them, from the Customizer. Colours are CSS variables, so changing the accent updates every button, icon, link and border at once.
