Every route in our catalogue has been walked by a TravelBook planner before it reaches this page. The lodges are ones we have slept in, the guides are ones we pay directly, and the pacing is written for people who would rather see three places properly than nine in passing.

Plan With Someone Who Has Been There
Send us a rough shape — a fortnight in October, two people, no early starts — and a planner replies with a route, a price and the parts they would change. Nothing is charged until you say yes.
You send dates and a budget range. Within two working days a planner returns a written itinerary naming every lodge, guide and transfer, along with the total. Adjust it as often as you like before it is confirmed.
Departures can be shifted to another date in the same season at no charge up to forty-five days out. Inside that window we release what we can and refund whatever the lodges return to us, itemised in writing.
Any catalogue route can run privately for six travellers or more, on dates you choose. Family departures swap in shorter walking days and rooms that connect, without dropping the guiding.

The people meeting you at the station are paid by us, year round, at rates published on our careers page.
Lighter Footprint
Overland where the train exists, locally owned lodging by default, and no single-use plastics carried on route.
