About this theme
Inside Medical WordPress Theme
SWP Medical Pro is a fast, fully responsive medical WordPress theme built for healthcare providers who need a professional medical website without hiring a developer. Whether you run a private clinic, a multi-location hospital group, a telemedicine practice, a dental surgery, a diagnostic laboratory or a family care-coordination service, the theme gives you every page a patient expects to find – services, doctors, pricing, locations, guides and a working appointment form – from the moment you activate it.
The design is calm, clinical, and trust-led: a full-screen hero slider, generous white space, a green-and-white healthcare palette, and clear typography set in Outfit and DM Sans. Nothing distracts from the two things that matter on a healthcare website – reassuring the patient and getting the booking.
One-click demo import: a finished medical website in minutes
Activate the theme, install the two free recommended plugins and press Import Demo. The importer builds the entire demo site for you: ten pages, six services, four doctor profiles, six blog guides, navigation menus, Contact Form 7 forms, every image, and every Customizer setting. Then replace the demo text with your clinic’s details. Most users have a complete, publishable healthcare website within an hour.
16 drag-and-drop homepage sections – no page builder required
Every section is native to the theme and edited in the WordPress Customizer with a live preview. Drag sections into any order, hide the ones you do not need, and edit every heading, paragraph, icon, image and button:
- Hero slider with unlimited slides, each with its own image, headline, text and calls to action
- Appointment booking bar that carries the visitor’s choices straight into your appointment form
- Insurance partners strip for the health insurance plans you accept
- Why choose us block with a photo collage, a trust checklist and animated statistics counters
- How it works process steps for new patients
- Medical services tabs driven by the Services post type
- Patient dashboard preview for portals, patient apps and telehealth platforms
- Doctors team grid linked to full physician profiles
- Locations and coverage map for multi-clinic and multi-city practices
- Pricing table with a 6-month / 12-month billing toggle and a highlighted plan
- Privacy and security cards with HIPAA and GDPR compliance badges
- Testimonials carousel with star ratings, autoplay, arrows and touch swipe
- Appointment form with contact cards and a map
- FAQ accordion with FAQ schema for rich results in Google
- Health blog grid for patient education articles
- Emergency notice strip above the footer
Built for patient appointments and lead generation
The theme ships with ready-made Contact Form 7 appointment forms styled to match the design, plus a built-in fallback form that works even without a plugin. The booking bar under the hero pre-fills the appointment form with the service, city, date and number of relatives the visitor chose, so patients finish the request instead of abandoning it. A configurable lead-capture popup opens at 50% scroll by default – or on a time delay or exit intent – with full control over frequency, targeting, layout and content. Click-to-call phone numbers appear in the top bar, the footer and the emergency strip.
Services, doctors and inner pages that stay easy to manage
Two custom post types keep a growing healthcare website organised. Services include an icon, duration, price, report turnaround, and a featured image, and appear automatically in the service tabs, the services grid, and the navigation drop-down. Doctors carry a specialty, credentials and languages, and each physician gets a proper profile page with a booking button. Six page templates – About, Services, Doctors, Pricing, Guides and Contact – each have their own banner and their own copy of every section, so the FAQ on your contact page can differ from the one on your homepage.
Fast, accessible and SEO-ready
Core Web Vitals were part of the build, not an afterthought. The theme loads one stylesheet and one small deferred script, uses inline SVG icons instead of an icon font, self-hosts its fonts, preloads the hero image for a fast Largest Contentful Paint and lazy-loads everything below the fold. There is no jQuery dependency and no slider library. A dedicated Performance panel disables WordPress emoji scripts, oEmbed discovery, jQuery Migrate, and unused Contact Form 7 assets.
On accessibility and SEO, the theme uses semantic HTML5 landmarks, a single H1 per page, visible focus states, keyboard-operable sliders, tabs and modals, reduced-motion support, and outputs FAQPage and BreadcrumbList structured data. It works alongside Yoast SEO, Rank Math and SEOPress rather than competing with them.
Yours to brand
Twelve colour tokens, two font families, content width, corner rounding and heading weights are all controlled from the Customizer, so the theme can look like a children’s clinic, a cardiology centre or a corporate hospital group. It is translation-ready, works with WPML and Polylang, supports child themes and is fully compatible with Gutenberg for your blog content.
Included in your purchase: the theme, the demo importer, detailed HTML documentation, future updates and support from ScintillaWPThemes.

Questions about Medical WordPress Theme
Is SWP Medical Pro suitable for my type of practice?
Yes. The theme is designed for any healthcare provider: private clinics, hospitals and medical centres, individual doctors and specialists, dental practices, paediatric and women's health clinics, diagnostic and imaging labs, telemedicine and telehealth services, physiotherapy and rehabilitation centres, home care and elderly care agencies, veterinary clinics and health insurance brokers. Because every section is optional and re-orderable, you can shape the homepage around what your practice actually offers.
Do I need a page builder like Elementor or WPBakery?
No. Every section is built into the theme and edited in the WordPress Customizer with a live preview, so the site stays fast and you have nothing extra to license or learn. Your blog posts and standard pages still use the Gutenberg block editor as normal.
Which plugins do I need?
Two free plugins from WordPress.org: Kirki Customizer Framework for the theme options and Contact Form 7 for the appointment forms. The theme prompts you to install both after activation, and includes its own fallback contact form if you prefer not to use Contact Form 7.
Can I import the demo content with one click?
Yes. The built-in demo importer creates the pages, services, doctor profiles, blog guides, menus, forms, images and Customizer settings exactly as shown on the demo site. It is safe to re-run, and you can also set the site up manually if you prefer.
Can patients book appointments through the theme?
Yes. The theme includes a styled appointment request form (Contact Form 7 or the built-in form), a booking bar that pre-fills that form with the visitor's service, city and preferred date, click-to-call phone links and a lead-capture popup. For live calendar scheduling with payments, the theme also works alongside dedicated booking plugins such as Amelia or Bookly.
Is the theme responsive and mobile friendly?
Yes. Every section, the navigation, the sliders, the tabs, the pricing table and the forms are tested on mobile, tablet and desktop, with a dedicated mobile menu and touch-swipe carousels.
Is it fast enough for Core Web Vitals?
The theme loads one stylesheet and one small deferred script, uses inline SVG icons rather than an icon font, self-hosts its fonts, preloads the hero image and lazy-loads everything below the fold, with no jQuery dependency. A Performance panel lets you switch off extras that WordPress and plugins add. Real-world scores also depend on your hosting, caching and the size of the images you upload.
Is the theme HIPAA or GDPR compliant?
No WordPress theme can make a website compliant on its own - compliance depends on your hosting, your forms, your data handling and your policies. The theme supports you with self-hosted fonts (no external font requests), a privacy and security section, compliance badges, a cookie-free front end and ready-made Privacy Policy, Terms and Accessibility pages. Always take professional advice for patient data.
Can I change the colours, fonts and layout?
Yes. Twelve colour tokens, heading and body fonts, base font size, heading weights, content width and corner rounding are all Customizer settings. Fonts can be self-hosted, loaded from Google Fonts or left as system fonts.
Is the theme SEO friendly?
Yes. It uses clean semantic markup, one H1 per page, a correct heading hierarchy, descriptive alt text, fast-loading assets and outputs FAQ and breadcrumb structured data. It is fully compatible with Yoast SEO, Rank Math and SEOPress.
