Elias leads the framing crew and sets the standard the rest of the build is measured against. If a wall is out by a quarter inch it comes down, which occasionally costs a morning and always saves a week of finish carpentry apologies later.
He trained in Bavaria, moved to Illinois in 2009, and still keeps a set of hand planes in the truck.
