The forest only stays beautiful if every camper leaves it as they found it. These are the seven principles our rangers teach in every junior ranger session.
Plan ahead and prepare
Know the rules, the weather and the fire conditions before you arrive.
Camp on durable surfaces
Stick to marked pitches and trails, even when a shortcut looks tempting.
Dispose of waste properly
Pack it in, pack it out. Use the recycling station by the main gate.
Leave what you find
Rocks, plants and pine cones stay in the forest.
Minimise campfire impact
Use the fire ring on your pitch and burn only local firewood.
Respect wildlife
Watch from a distance and never feed animals.
Be considerate of other visitors
Keep noise down, especially during quiet hours.
