About this theme
Inside Telemedicine WordPress Theme
Patients no longer start their care in a waiting room. They start it on a phone, at 2 AM, typing a symptom into a search box. SWP Telemedicine Pro is a telemedicine WordPress theme built for exactly that moment – a complete, conversion-focused website for online doctor consultations, virtual clinics, health startups and medical practices, ready to launch in an afternoon.
This is not a general-purpose medical WordPress theme with a stethoscope stock photo bolted on. Every section, template and setting was designed around how telehealth actually converts: prove availability, remove friction, and get the visitor from symptom to booked appointment in as few taps as possible.
A homepage designed to convert, not just to decorate
The demo homepage opens with a live video-consultation hero – a doctor on screen, a running call timer, an AI triage card and a “next available doctor” badge. It communicates the single thing every telemedicine visitor wants to know: can I speak to someone now?
Beneath it sit thirteen ready-made sections you can reorder by dragging: a trust bar for hospital and insurer logos, a bento-style services grid, a conditions-we-treat directory, a four-step “how a visit works” timeline, platform highlight cards, a dark key-numbers panel, a specialist directory, a swipeable testimonial carousel, transparent pricing plans, an FAQ accordion with built-in schema, a call-to-action band, and a health-journal blog feed.
Every one of those sections is independently editable per template. The hero on your homepage and the hero on your landing page keep their own settings, so you are never fighting one global block.
Custom post type for services, with real booking forms
Services are a first-class content type, not a workaround. Each service – video consultation, prescription refill, lab-results review, mental-health support – gets its own page with a consultation length, a starting price, a typical wait time, a lead clinician and highlight bullets.
Each single-service page carries a sticky appointment booking form powered by Contact Form 7, with the service field pre-filled from the page the patient is already reading, so a booking never arrives without context. The theme installs and wires up the forms for you during setup: a contact form, a service booking form, a newsletter form and a popup lead form, all styled to match the design out of the box.
The pieces that turn a browser into a patient
Trust is the whole conversion problem in healthcare, so the theme gives you the components that answer a nervous visitor’s questions before they have to ask.
The specialist directory shows each doctor with a photo, speciality, years in practice, a star rating and a live “next slot” figure, with a booking link on every card. The conditions grid maps eight everyday complaints – fever, rashes, mental health, children’s health, chronic conditions – straight to the right consultation. Pricing plans lay out per-visit and membership options side by side with a highlighted recommendation and an insurance strip. The FAQ accordion answers the six questions people actually ask before a first video visit, and emits FAQPage structured data so those answers can win a rich result in search.
Speed that survives a real audit
Most healthcare WordPress themes ship a megabyte of icon fonts and a slider library before you have written a word. This one ships neither.
- Icons are an inline SVG sprite – no icon webfont, no extra requests, crisp at any size and recolourable from the Customizer.
- The testimonial carousel is roughly two kilobytes of hand-written JavaScript with drag, keyboard and autoplay support – no jQuery, no slider plugin.
- One stylesheet, one deferred script, one Google Font family with preconnect hints.
- Emoji detection, ‘wp-embed’ and legacy classic-theme styles are dequeued.
- Images are lazy-loaded and async-decoded, with the hero opting into eager loading and high fetch priority for a better Largest Contentful Paint.
The whole theme, demo photography included, weighs under two and a half megabytes. The result is a fast medical website template that gives Core Web Vitals a genuine chance instead of needing three optimisation plugins to recover.
Everything controlled from the WordPress Customizer
There is no page builder to learn and no shortcode soup to maintain. The theme uses the Kirki Customizer framework to give every section its own panel with live preview: colours, typography, section order, visibility, repeaters for doctors, conditions, pricing plans, FAQs and testimonials, per-page banner images, header and footer content, and a full set of controls for the built-in scroll popup.
That popup is a complete lead-capture tool in itself. Choose the trigger – a scroll depth that defaults to 50%, a timed delay, or exit intent – then set how often it returns, which pages it appears on, whether it shows on mobile, and whether it carries buttons or a Contact Form 7 form.
One-click demo import, then make it yours
The setup wizard installs the required plugins, then imports the entire demo in a single click: pages, eight services, blog posts, menus, banner images, contact forms and every Customizer value. Re-running it repairs the demo rather than duplicating it.
Inner pages are all included and designed – About, Services, Contact, Blog, single post, single service, search results, category and tag archives and a 404 – alongside a responsive layout that holds together from a 1440px desktop down to a small phone.
Who this telemedicine WordPress theme is for
Telehealth startups and virtual clinics. Online doctor consultation services. Multi-specialty hospitals and physician group practices. Mental-health, dermatology, pediatric and chronic-care providers. Private GPs and specialist consultants who take bookings online.
If you are building a patient-facing website that has to earn trust, take bookings and load fast on a phone, SWP Telemedicine Pro is the telemedicine WordPress theme to start from.

Questions about Telemedicine WordPress Theme
Do I need a page builder such as Elementor, Divi or WPBakery?
No. Everything is edited in the native WordPress Customizer. There is no page builder dependency, and no builder licence to renew.
Which plugins are required?
Two, both free: Kirki (the Customizer framework that registers the panels) and Contact Form 7 (the booking, newsletter and pop-up forms). The setup wizard installs both for you.
Will the demo import overwrite my existing content?
No. The importer matches existing pages and posts by slug and updates them rather than creating duplicates. WordPress's own "Hello world!" post and "Sample Page" are moved to trash, not deleted, so you can restore them.
Can I reorder or hide sections?
Yes. Every page panel has a "Reorder Sections" control and every section has a Show/Hide switch. Hidden sections are not rendered at all, so they cost nothing.
Is the theme responsive?
Yes, from 320 px upward. Breakpoints at 1200, 1100, 900 and 600 px restack every grid, swap the desktop navigation for a full-screen drawer, and flatten the 3D book covers on small screens.
How do I control the pop-up?
Appearance → Customize → SWP Scroll Pop-up. Set the scroll depth, delay, re-display frequency, layout, imagery, copy and colours there.
Can I use my own logo in the sticky header?
Yes. The sticky header has a dedicated logo field, separate from the main header and footer logos, plus its own width control.
Is the theme SEO friendly?
Yes. Semantic markup, a single H1 per page, clean heading order, fast Core Web Vitals defaults, breadcrumbs and lazy-loaded images. It works alongside Yoast, Rank Math or SEOPress.
