You do not need to own a full set of gear to enjoy a dive holiday. Here is what we recommend bringing, and what is better rented at the dive centre.
Bring
- Your certification card and logbook (or the app)
- A well-fitting mask — the single most personal piece of kit
- Reef-safe sunscreen and a rash vest
- A reusable water bottle and seasickness tablets
Rent
- BCD, regulator and tanks — serviced after every dive
- Wetsuit in the right thickness for the season
- Fins, unless you already own a pair you love
The item everyone forgets
A copy of your dive insurance and medical declaration. Keep a photo on your phone and a printed copy in your bag.
