Questions Before You Dive
Can't find your answer? Call us on +1 (000) 555-555 and we'll talk it through.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
You should be comfortable in water and able to swim 200 metres at any pace, with no time limit. Most of diving is slow and relaxed, not athletic.
What is the minimum age to learn?
Children can try scuba in the pool from age 8 and start the Junior Open Water course from age 10, always with a dedicated instructor.
Is equipment included in the price?
Yes. All course and trip prices include tanks, weights, BCD, regulator, wetsuit, mask and fins. You're welcome to bring your own gear.
Can I dive if I wear glasses?
Yes. Soft contact lenses work well under a mask, and we also keep prescription masks in common strengths at the shop.
What happens if the weather is bad?
If conditions aren't safe, we reschedule your dive at no cost or refund you in full. We never take divers out in unsafe water.
Do I need a medical certificate?
Every diver fills in a short medical questionnaire. If you answer yes to any question, you will need a doctor to sign it before you dive — we can recommend a local dive-medicine doctor.
How soon can I fly after diving?
We recommend waiting at least 18 hours after multiple dives or multi-day diving, and 12 hours after a single dive. Plan your last dive the day before your flight.
Can non-divers join the boat?
Yes. Friends and family can join most boat trips as snorkellers or passengers for a reduced fee, subject to space on board.
