I was nervous about breathing underwater, and Sofia never rushed me once. By the fourth dive I was hovering over the reef watching a turtle eat breakfast. I booked my Advanced course before I'd even dried off.

The wreck briefing alone was worth it. Maya drew the whole ship on a whiteboard, so once we were down there I knew exactly where the barracuda would be.

Our liveaboard weekend was the best three days of the year. Ten dives, perfect briefings and a crew that remembered how everyone took their coffee.

I came for one Discover Scuba session with my kids and left with three new divers in the family. Patient, funny and obsessed with safety — exactly what we wanted.
