Good buoyancy is what separates a tiring dive from an effortless one. These five habits make the biggest difference.
- Do a proper weight check at the end of a dive, not the start
- Add air to your BCD in small bursts, then wait
- Use your breathing for fine adjustments
- Keep your trim horizontal and your fins up
- Tuck away gauges and your octopus
Practise them on every dive and within a week you will notice you use less air and see more marine life.
