Tools, instruments and electronics are the categories where a few minutes of preparation makes the biggest difference to your offer. Bring the charger, the case and any leads. Remove every account and lock from a phone, tablet or laptop before you arrive — if we cannot get past a lock screen, we cannot lend on it at all.
We test everything on the counter. Cordless sets get run under load, guitars get plugged in, cameras get a card and a shutter count, laptops get booted. That protects you as much as us: it is how we can offer a real number rather than a cautious one.
Every serial number is recorded and checked against the police register, and the item is held for a minimum of 30 days before it can be resold. It is why stolen goods do not end up on this floor.
