Transport accounts for a large share of most companies’ Scope 3 emissions. Moving heavy cargo from road to rail is one of the fastest ways to bring that number down — often while saving money.
The numbers
A freight train can move the load of more than 70 trucks while emitting up to 70% less CO₂ per tonne-kilometre. Over long land distances, that difference adds up quickly.
Speed and reliability
Rail is slower than air but faster than ocean on many Asia–Europe routes, and fixed weekly departures are not affected by road congestion or driver shortages.
How intermodal works
Containers travel by truck to the railhead, by rail across the long-haul section and by truck again for the final miles — with no re-handling of the goods inside.
Reporting your savings
Every rail shipment we move comes with an emissions report you can use directly in your sustainability disclosures.
