A narrow row house opened from front to back, with a stone pier carrying the new stair and concealed lighting that traces the plan at night.
The Reyes family came to us asking for an extension. After two site visits we suggested they did not need one: the house was big enough, it was simply cut into too many small rooms.
We removed two walls on the ground floor and carried the new stair on a single stone pier, so the house now reads from the front door to the garden in one line. The budget saved on the extension went into joinery and light.

A four-bedroom house built into a sloping corner plot. Board-marked concrete carries the street edge; inside, the plan turns away from the road and opens to a walled garden.

A 1970s distribution shed turned into studio space for forty people. The existing frame stayed; we cut a stair through the middle and brought daylight down to the ground floor.
