Losing your only car key used to mean a tow to the dealer and days without a car. Today a mobile keymaker can cut and program a new key wherever the car is parked.
The dealer route
Dealers order the key by VIN, which can take days, and the car usually has to be at the dealership for programming.
The mobile keymaker route
We carry blanks and programmers for most makes, so the key is cut, programmed and tested in one visit, typically for much less.
Have this ready
- Your driver’s license.
- The registration or title, or proof of ownership on your phone.
- The VIN, which is on the dashboard behind the windscreen.
Once you have a working key, get a spare cut. A second key costs a fraction of an all-keys-lost job.
