A master key system lets one key open every door while each employee’s key opens only the doors they need.

How it works

Each lock is pinned so it accepts two or more key combinations: its own change key and one or more master keys above it in the hierarchy.

When it makes sense

If you have more than five doors and more than a handful of key holders, a master key system usually pays for itself the first time someone loses a key.

Pair it with restricted keyways so copies can only be cut by an authorised keymaker.
