Replacing the floor slab of a working distribution warehouse without closing it.
The building had to keep receiving and dispatching throughout, so we split the floor into three bays and worked one at a time, each with its own temporary racking relocation and a dust-sealed hoarding line.
Each bay was broken out, the sub-base regraded and compacted, and a 200mm reinforced slab poured with a laser screed. Joints were saw-cut within eight hours and later filled with semi-rigid epoxy so forklift wheels cross them without chipping.
Final floor flatness was measured at FF 42 against a specified FF 35. The client did not miss a single delivery in four months.
