Repeat medication is the most common reason people book an appointment they did not really need, and the easiest thing to move online.
Start the request from your timeline rather than from a blank form, so the doctor sees what you were prescribed, at what dose, and when. Confirm that nothing has changed — new medications, new symptoms, a pregnancy, a planned procedure — because that is the entire clinical question being asked.
A doctor reviews the request against your record and any interactions, usually within the hour. Once approved, the prescription goes electronically to whichever pharmacy you have listed; you do not carry paper anywhere.
Two caveats worth knowing before you start. Controlled substances generally cannot be prescribed remotely, and the platform will say so rather than letting you find out at the counter. And a medication you have been on for over a year will usually trigger a short review call — that is the point of the review, not an obstacle to it.
