Every October the south lot fills up, and every April a handful of people discover their battery is dead. Most of that is avoidable in an afternoon.
- Drain the water system completely, including the heater and the taps.
- Book a bay with a trickle-charge point, or take the battery home.
- Leave cupboards and the fridge propped open so air moves through.
- Over-inflate the tyres slightly and move the van a metre once mid-winter.
- Take out anything that a mouse would consider food, including soap.
The first six bays in the south lot have charge points and there is a wash tap by the south fence for the day you collect it.
