Nkechi recorded every ambience in the series on location, in conditions that ruined two rigs. The ice-shift that opens episode four was captured on a night the whole camp sat awake listening to it, and it is used in the film exactly as recorded.

Cut the Borneo canopy episode from nine months of unattended rig footage. Believes a sequence is finished when nothing else can be removed from it.

Shot the 34-day elephant walk on a long lens from a moving vehicle. Holds the production record for consecutive days without a usable shot: eighteen.
