Skips inside the first thirty seconds are thrown out, repeat plays from the same account are capped at three a day, and plays from autoplay queues are weighted at half. The result is a list that tracks what people choose to hear, not what an algorithm pushed at them.
Why we measure against Monday
Position changes are measured against the previous Monday rather than the previous day. Daily movement is mostly noise from release-day spikes; weekly movement tells you whether a song is actually growing.
New entries
A track is marked as a new entry the first week it crosses the threshold, even if it was released months earlier. Copper Wire took eleven weeks to get there.
