The SWPMarathon course is a single flat loop from Lincoln Park with only 38 m of elevation gain. Here is where to push, where to hold back, and where the crowd is loudest.
Kilometres 0–10: settle in
The first 10 km run through downtown on wide streets. Start in your wave, find your pacer and resist the urge to bank time.
Kilometres 10–30: Maple Avenue and the forest stretch
Maple Avenue is where the loudest crowd waits. After it, the course enters the shaded forest stretch — the calmest and coolest part of the day.
Kilometres 30–42.2: bring it home
Aid stations sit every 2.5 km all the way in. The last 2 km run straight back into Lincoln Park and the finish arch.
