Treatments & care

Not everyone needs IVF. We recommend the simplest treatment that gives you a real chance of success, and step up only when it's needed.

Find the right treatment
  • IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation)

Eggs and sperm are combined in our lab, and the healthiest embryo is transferred back to the uterus. Our most complete treatment for blocked tubes, low egg reserve or unexplained infertility.

  • ICSI

A single sperm is injected directly into each mature egg. Recommended when sperm count or movement is low, or when fertilisation failed in a previous IVF cycle.

  • IUI (Intrauterine Insemination)

Prepared sperm is placed directly in the uterus around ovulation. A gentle, lower-cost first step for mild male factor, cervical issues or donor sperm.

  • Egg & embryo freezing

Preserve your fertility for later with vitrification, a rapid-freeze method with high survival rates. Ideal before cancer treatment or if you'd like more time.

  • Male fertility

Around half of all fertility issues involve the male partner. We offer semen analysis, DNA fragmentation testing, hormone review and surgical sperm retrieval.

  • Donor & surrogacy programmes

Carefully screened egg and sperm donors, plus legal and counselling support for gestational surrogacy. Every step handled with privacy and respect.

Every family starts with a conversation

At SWP Fertility Clinic we know that trying to conceive can feel lonely and confusing. That's why we start by listening, not by selling a package.

  • Emotional support and counselling in every programme
  • Care for single parents, same-sex couples and LGBTQ+ families

An embryology lab built for one job

Small details in the lab make a big difference to your chances. Our senior embryologists work with equipment chosen to protect every embryo.

Time-lapse embryo monitoring

Embryos grow undisturbed in incubators with built-in cameras, so we can select the strongest one without removing it.

Genetic testing (PGT-A)

Optional screening checks embryos for chromosomal conditions before transfer, which can lower miscarriage risk.

Vitrification

Rapid freezing keeps eggs and embryos safe for future cycles, with over 95% survival after thawing in our lab.

After three years and two failed cycles elsewhere, we almost gave up. Dr. Carter found a thyroid issue nobody had checked. Our daughter was born last spring.

    Questions we hear often

Can't find your answer? Our patient team replies to every message within one working day.

    Ask a question
When should we see a fertility specialist?

If you're under 35 and haven't conceived after 12 months of trying, or over 35 after 6 months, it's a good time to get checked. See us sooner if you have irregular periods, endometriosis, PCOS or a known male factor.

How long does one IVF cycle take?

A typical cycle takes four to six weeks from the start of medication to the pregnancy test. Egg retrieval itself takes about 20 minutes under light sedation, and most people go home the same morning.

    Is IVF painful?

Most patients describe the daily injections as a quick pinch. Egg retrieval is done under sedation, and the embryo transfer feels similar to a smear test. Some bloating and mild cramping is common afterwards.

    How much does treatment cost?

Costs depend on the treatment you need. After your tests, you'll get a written, itemised quote before anything starts. We also offer multi-cycle packages and monthly payment plans.

    Do you accept insurance?

We work with most major insurance providers that include fertility benefits. Our billing team will check your coverage for free before your first appointment.
