About the company

An electric transport dealer and workshop — fourteen brands, one service bay, and a demo fleet you can ride before you buy.

We opened in 2013 selling combustion mopeds, and spent six years watching customers come back for the same three faults. In 2019 we stopped ordering them. Everything on our floor now runs on a battery, and the workshop behind the showroom is the reason we can say that with a straight face.

Fourteen manufacturers, a parts wall stocked for every one of them, and two certified technicians who have between them rebuilt more battery packs than most dealerships have sold. If we sold it, we can fix it — and if we cannot fix it, we will tell you that before you buy.

Why we stopped selling petrol

We sold combustion mopeds for six years before we stopped. Compared with an internal combustion engine, an electric drivetrain is simply better suited to short urban trips — and cheaper to keep on the road. Here is what changed our minds.

  1. Clean running. Electric motors convert far more of their stored energy into movement than a petrol engine does, and nothing burns at the kerb.
  2. Low running cost. A full charge costs roughly six cents at Illinois residential rates. Servicing is brakes, tyres and a battery health report.
  3. Quiet operation. No idling, no exhaust note, no waking the street at six in the morning. Neighbours notice this one first.
  4. Charge almost anywhere. A standard wall socket does the job overnight. Removable packs come indoors with you when parking is on the street.
  5. One category, many answers. From a folding scooter for the last mile to a cargo trike that replaces a second car — the right pick depends on the trip, not the badge.

I came in for a scooter and left with a cargo trike, which sounds like a bad sales story but it was the right call. They asked what I actually carry on a Saturday, and the answer was two kids and a week of groceries.

My controller failed at eight months. They had the replacement on the shelf, fitted it the same afternoon and did not charge me, because it was still inside warranty. That is the whole review.

They talked me down from a 900Wh pack to a 500. Saved me about six hundred dollars, and I have never once finished a commute below a third of charge.

The annual health check found a cracked torque arm I would never have spotted. Forty-five minutes and fifty-nine dollars against a rear wheel and probably a collarbone.

Bought the folding scooter for the last mile from the station. Two winters in, still folds one-handed, still holds charge. No notes.
