Harbour & Vine were spending steadily on paid social and getting a return that hovered stubbornly below break-even. The brief was explicit: do not ask for more budget.
The problem
Nine near-identical campaigns were competing in the same auction, and creative had not been refreshed in five months. Every audience was already saturated.
What we did
- Consolidated nine campaigns into three, ending internal auction overlap.
- Built a fortnightly creative test calendar sized to the existing budget.
- Moved from last-click to a holdout-validated view of incrementality.
- Rebuilt the two landing pages receiving 80% of paid traffic.
The result
Return on ad spend moved from 1.8x to 4.1x across nine months, on a monthly budget that never changed. The creative calendar is now run by their in-house team.
