A great interior clean is all about order. Work top to bottom and dry to wet, and you never spread dirt onto a surface you already cleaned.
Our checklist
- Remove mats and personal items.
- Blow out vents, seams and seat rails with compressed air.
- Vacuum headliner edges, seats, carpet and the trunk.
- Shampoo seats and carpets with hot-water extraction.
- Wipe dashboard, console and door cards with a pH-neutral cleaner.
- Clean glass last, inside and out, with two towels.
- Dress plastics with a matte, non-greasy protectant.
Tips for in between details
Keep a microfiber cloth and a small brush in the glovebox, shake out mats weekly and never leave food wrappers in a hot car.
