Both wax and ceramic coatings protect your paint and make it shine. The difference is how long they last and how much work they save you.
Carnauba wax
- Warm, deep gloss that looks great on dark colors.
- Lasts up to three months.
- Low upfront cost, but needs regular reapplication.
Ceramic coating
- Hard, glass-like layer that bonds to the clear coat.
- Lasts up to two years with the right care.
- Higher upfront cost, much easier washing afterwards.
Which one should you choose?
If you lease or change cars often, wax is the sensible option. If you plan to keep your car for years, or it lives outside, a ceramic coating usually pays for itself in time saved and paint preserved.
