It is the question we hear most at the counter. The short answer: an interim service every six months or 6,000 miles, and a full service every year or 12,000 miles, whichever comes first.
What an interim service covers
- Engine oil and filter change
- Fluid levels topped up
- Tyre pressure and tread check
- Lights and wipers check
What a full service adds
- Air and cabin filters replaced
- Brake and suspension inspection
- Battery health test
- Full computer diagnostic scan
If you drive less than 6,000 miles a year, one full service annually is usually enough. If you drive a lot, or tow, an interim in between protects the engine for very little money.
