Sprinklers are great for lawns, but they waste a lot of water on beds, where much of the spray lands on leaves, mulch and paths.
Drip lines deliver water slowly to the root zone, so far less is lost to evaporation and runoff. Plants grow deeper roots, foliage stays dry and fungal disease has less chance to take hold.
A typical garden bed can be converted in a day. Pair it with a smart controller that skips cycles when rain is forecast and most homeowners see a clear drop in their summer water bill.
Give the system a quick check each spring: flush the lines, look for clogged emitters and make sure nothing was nicked during fall cleanup.
