Inside Quiet Geometries: Notes From the Install

Round gallery with a glass ceiling and visitors seated on a curved bench

Nine canvases, one round room and a glass ceiling that changes the light every twenty minutes. Hanging Quiet Geometries took four days, two ladders and one very patient artist.

Hanging for daylight

We moved the largest canvas three times. In the morning it glows; by four o’clock the blues go almost black. Nora wanted visitors to see both, so we placed the bench where you can watch it turn.

Come on a Thursday late opening and you will see the room under evening light, which may be our favourite version of the show.
