About the Gallery

Curated with care since 2014. Made for slow looking.

SWPArtGallery opened in 2014 in a former print works on Maplewood Lane. Three rooms, honest daylight and a simple promise: entry is free, every day we open, and every work on the walls is chosen by artists for visitors.

We represent a small group of living artists and stay with them for years, not seasons. That means fewer, deeper exhibitions, studio visits you can actually join, and a team that knows the story behind every piece.

Curated with care. Made for slow looking.

We opened our doors in 2014 with a simple belief: art should be met in person, at your own pace, without a ticket price standing in the way. Every work on our walls is chosen by artists, for visitors.

Here, a visit means quiet rooms, honest light and time to stand in front of one painting for as long as you like. Whether you collect, create, or simply wandered in from the street, this is a place to pause — and see something new.

12 Years open in Springfield
140 Artists exhibited
48 Exhibitions staged

The hands behind the work.

We represent a small group of living artists and work with each of them for years, not seasons. Meet four of them.

What our visitors are saying!!

[Visitor Stories]

“I came in to escape the rain and stayed two hours. I sat in front of one blue painting until I'd forgotten my phone existed. It's the calmest room in Springfield.”
“The staff walked my daughter through the sculpture room like she was a serious collector. She's eleven, and she's already asking when we're going back.”
“We bought our first original piece here. No pressure, no jargon — just a curator who clearly loves the work and wanted it to go to the right home.”
“Thursday lates are my favourite hour of the week. Quiet rooms, good light, and a different painting catches me every time.”
