SWP Scaffolding has been putting up steel and aluminium access since 2001. We started with two crews and a yard outside Springfield, and we still run the business the same way: our own stock, our own erectors, and a supervisor who answers the phone when the sequence changes on site.

Every trade behind you is waiting on the deck. Scaffold is a schedule problem before it is a steel problem, so we plan lifts around your sequence, agree handover dates in writing, and tell you early if anything is going to move.

Our crews are trained and card-carrying, our designs are signed off by a chartered engineer, and every structure is tagged, logged and re-inspected every seven days.

We own our stock. That means no waiting on a hire yard when you need another twelve bays by Thursday.

Fixed erection windows agreed in writing. If we slip, you hear it from us first, not from your own crew.

We dismantle to sequence, sweep the footprint and leave the elevation ready for sign-off the same week.

We hold enough stock for four simultaneous contracts and keep a two-crew reserve for call-outs. Most surveys happen within 48 hours of your call, and quotes land the following working day with drawings attached.

OSHA Subpart L throughout

Every structure is built to 29 CFR 1926 Subpart L, with guardrails, toe boards and planking specified for the intended load class rather than whatever is on the truck.

Competent person inspections

A nominated competent person signs off before handover, after any alteration, after high winds, and on a fixed seven-day cycle. Records go to you, not into a drawer.

Scaffold tagging system

Red, amber and green tags at every access point so any trade can see at a glance whether the structure is safe to use today.

Trained, insured crews

Carded erectors, fall-protection training refreshed annually, and $5m public liability cover. Certificates travel with the quote.

Questions We Get Asked

How quickly can you get to site?

Surveys usually happen within 48 hours of your call and quotes follow the next working day. For straightforward jobs under six lifts we can normally erect within a week. Emergency call-outs — storm damage, a failed structure, an unplanned inspection — are covered by a two-crew reserve we keep free.

Do you charge by the week or for the whole job?

Quotes cover erection, the first four weeks of hire, and dismantle as one figure. After that it moves to a weekly hire rate agreed up front, so extensions never arrive as a surprise line on an invoice.

Who is responsible for inspections once it is up?

We are. A competent person inspects before handover, after any alteration or high wind event, and every seven days thereafter. You receive the signed record each time, and the tag on site is updated to match.

Can you work on an occupied building?

Most of our facade work is on occupied residential and commercial buildings. That means pedestrian fans, lit walkways, debris netting, alarmed ground lifts, and erection hours agreed with the building manager before we start.

What area do you cover?

Springfield and the surrounding counties as standard, with longer contracts taken statewide. If you are outside that radius, call anyway — we will tell you honestly whether the travel makes sense for your budget.

Insurance

$5m public liability and full employer’s cover. Certificates sent with every quote.

Emergency call-out

Storm damage or a failed structure? Two crews held in reserve, seven days a week.

Payment terms

Staged invoicing on contracts over eight weeks. Thirty-day terms for account holders.

Documentation

Drawings, calculations, RAMS and inspection logs, all issued as a single handover pack.
