Follow this guide for the first month and your new piece will heal clean, bright and sharp.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The first 24 hours<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Leave the wrap on for the time your artist told you, usually 2 to 4 hours.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Wash gently with lukewarm water and fragrance-free soap. Pat dry with a clean paper towel.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Apply a very thin layer of the balm from your healing kit.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Days 2 to 14<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Wash twice a day and moisturise lightly. Less is more.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Do not pick or scratch flakes. Let them fall away on their own.<\/li>\n\n\n<li>Avoid pools, baths, saunas and direct sun.<\/li>\n\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Weeks 3 and 4<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The surface looks healed, but the skin underneath is still settling. Keep using sunscreen once the skin has closed, and book your free touch-up within 90 days if anything needs a second pass. Questions?
