The questions below are the ones families most often wish they had asked, gathered from years of picking up the pieces afterwards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ask on the ward<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Which of these medications are new, and which have been stopped?<\/li><li>Who is dressing this wound, how often, and starting when?<\/li><li>What specifically would mean we should ring someone rather than wait?<\/li><li>Has a district nurse referral actually been made, or only mentioned?<\/li><li>Is there any weight-bearing or lifting restriction, and for how long?<\/li><li>What does the follow-up appointment look like, and who books it?<\/li><li>Are any of these tablets to be crushed, or must they be swallowed whole?<\/li><li>What equipment is being delivered, and on what day?<\/li><li>Who is the named contact if none of the above happens?<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Write the answers down on the ward.
